When submitting a quote or question through our portal or website, or subscribing to our newsletter, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number or other details to help us provide a quote, answer a question, or subscribe you to our newsletter. How does our site handle Do Not Track signals?

We do not currently honor Do Not Track signals when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

Sending documents through our online form

When submitting a file through the form on our website, you consent to Scriptis accessing this file and the information it contains for the purpose of allowing us to better service you in responding to your quote request. Please be aware that Scriptis is working in compliance with The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec’s Privacy laws and Quebec Access Act. As such, we ask that you ensure that the files you send us do not contain any personal identifiable information, especially if collected from a minor, or that it’s been edited out.

Upon opening the files, if it is found that they contain personal identifiable information, the files will be deleted immediately and we will be unable to use them to produce a quote. In this case, we will ask you to send us another file or an edited version of the file if you wish to continue with our services.

Your rights as a user

Scriptis handles personal information in compliance with regulations such as GDPR and Quebec’s bill 25. It is our responsibility to inform you of your rights regarding your personal information and how to exercise them.

Right to be Informed: Users should review the privacy policies to understand how their data is being used. Users can also reach out to a data controller to inquire about the personal data held and its usage.

Right of Access: The right to data portability, as outlined in Article 20 of the GDPR, allows individuals to obtain their personal data from a data controller in a format that is easily reusable in another context. This right applies when personal data processing is automated and based on consent or a contract between the individual and the data controller and does not infringe on the rights and freedoms of others.

Right to Rectification: Users can request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data by communicating with the data controller and clearly explaining what information is inaccurate while providing the correct details.

Right to Erasure: Users have the right to request the deletion of their personal data by contacting the data controller. They must provide reasons such as data no longer being necessary, withdrawal of consent, objection to processing, unlawful processing, legal obligations, or data collected from a child.
